Stronger Together

I am feeling no better than I was when I posted last.  Glimmers of hope, here and there, and my resolve is slowly returning.  But I am traumatized by the hate.  I am reaching deeply within my soul for solace, and raising my hands and heart to the God of LOVE and MERCY for hope.  I am still not returning to blogging consistently, but wanted to let you all know that I am still here, hurting, as I know you are.  We need each other, I know.  Prayers for all.
This has rocked me to my core.

  1. the shock has been all over the world! it's a bit 'as if had been elected the president of the entire world. and what a disappointment! a real nightmare! We are incredulous, and we wonder where the world is heading! Add we Europeans are also disappointed for Brexit last June. Our world is in crisis, it is clear! We do not know where we're going. I try to respond with a little 'of tenderness and love

  2. My fog is beginning to lift. Now, the fear is setting in. The majority of those who voted for him claim it was not based on hate, racism, or bigotry. Ok, then they must prove it now. They must oppose every piece of discriminatory legislation that comes to committee, to the floor of either chamber of Congress. They must join that fight. We must be vigilant. Read Masha Gessen's piece on surviving in an Autocracy.
    Be well - HUGS!!!

  3. Denny said - I feel so bad for you, Babe. Just know that there are many of us out here feeling the same way. Find someone to hug and tell them that you care for them.

    LOVE CONQUERS HATE!

We will be here whenever you feel you can return.

    Big Hugs, Denny

  4. FFB, I hope that you won't isolate yourself too much from your blog family so we can all encourage each other. Love conquers hate. Sending you much love and hugs right now.

  5. I hear you, brother. So many of us feel that diversity is a bad thing. They're angry that there are so many non-white immigrants. Angry that their children and grandchildren are in same sex relationships. Angry that there are mosques where a church used to be. Afraid that someone is going to take away their guns.

A look at the election map shows the divide. Rural and suburban in red vs. Urban in blue. Worst of all is that because of how divided we are we need a president that will at least try to unite us. I seriously doubt Trump is that president but we'll see.

Pick yourself up. Dust yourself off. We've all got to do what we can to ensure Trump is a one term president.

    Peace, love and hugs.

  8. They win if we scatter. They win if we let them frighten us. They win if we for one moment feel being gay is wrong. The power of love and good will win with grace, dignity and real honesty! Danny in Moab!

  9. It was a shock to me, too. But life goes on, and I don't really think it will be much worse than things we've survived before, like Bush II and Cheney. It really isn't going to be possible to turn back the clock the way the Republicans would like to.
